Sensor devices require a power source to capture and send data. The common form of power is batteries which require ongoing monitoring, recharging and replacement. Today’s rechargeable batteries typically require daily recharging with only 8 hours of capacity. The combination of efficiencies gained from the design of our firmware and operating system enable USSP Sensors, Gateways and Routers to operate 10+ years on a single battery depending on system requirements and data transmission strategies. 

• Other power sources such as electricity, solar and wind may also be used.
• Rechargeable sensors may also be wired to existing power sources for long-term use with      battery backup in the field.
